He runs the defense on the bench and as a former goaltender himself, he works with the goaltenders on the ice at practice. His personable style connects with the players and was a key to the success of the team. From 2018 through 2022, Paul served as the CSCHC League Webmaster. In 2019 he was an assistant coach for the Neponset Valley River Rats 18AAA, along with Coach Ducko. Coach Batcho’s full-time position is the TSAI Ice Rink Operations Manager, at The Lawrenceville School.

He served as the Assistant Coach of The Lawrenceville School JV team for 5 years (2013-2018), and was the goaltending coach for the school’s entire hockey program (2012/2013 Season). Coach Batcho coached the Lawrence Flames Midgets for 4 season (2012-2015) at 18A, 16A, and 2 years at 16AA. Prior to working with the Flames, he coached with the Grundy Senators from 2006 until 2011 from PeeWee’s through Midget 16AA levels.  Paul’s goal as a hockey coach is to improve kids as hockey players and as individuals, using the game to teach hockey skills and life lessons.

Coach Batcho grew up in Croydon, PA and attended Archbishop Ryan High School and Bryn Athyn College. While at Bryn Athyn, he was the starting goaltender for three seasons on their ACHA DII team and helped them reach the playoffs in his final two seasons before beginning his coaching career.  Paul and his wife Katie reside in Levittown, PA.
